Once a year, Heinze conducts a survey among architects and designers to identify their favorite building products. Glas Marte’s glass railings were also put to the test and won over the experts—so much so that they were awarded the 2021 Architects’ Darling Award in silver in the fall protection category.

This is not the first award of its kind. The Red Dot Award, the Iconic Award, and the German Design Award have all previously attested to the high quality of our glass railing systems.

This year marked the eleventh consecutive year that Heinze has sought out the “Architects’ Darlings.” 1,800 experts from the fields of architecture, planning, and architectural communication were surveyed this year. In addition, a panel of experts was assembled to critically evaluate the manufacturers’ product ranges, corporate image, and portfolios. All of them concluded that GM RAILING® fall protection systems stand out positively in an industry comparison in terms of workmanship and reputation: Glas Marte manufactures the frameless and postless glass railings, including those for French windows, in-house. The glass and profile are firmly bonded together, ensuring a void-free and linear glass support system. This prevents high stress peaks, reduces the effort required for design and planning, and allows for quick and easy installation. Thanks to the various available systems, the manufacturer can adapt to any construction situation. The glass railings comply with DIN 18008-4 and are certified with abP or abZ. All these product features have not only made a name for themselves in the industry but have now once again reached expert committees. The Architects’ Darling Award confirms that Glas Marte is an ideal partner for key decision-makers in the construction sector and ranks among the most sought-after suppliers in the German-speaking world.
